Prof. Lee studies nuclear fuel materials, reactor safety, and various solid-fluid interface phenomena in extreme environments. His research interests include nuclear fuel design and safety, nuclear fuel mechanical modelling, spent fuel behavior, material compatibility in advanced reactors, material behavior under strong interaction with fluids, and low-power density reactor.
Prof. Lee received a B.S. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2009, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2011 and 2013, respectively. Prior to joining Seoul National University, he served as an assistant professor at the University of New Mexico and a postdoctoral research fellow at KAIST.
